STEP 17
STEP 2 draw a circle on top of the line. Keep in
mind it doesn't need to be a perfect circle. It can
be an almost sideways oval shape.
STEP 3 draw a smaller circle just below the one
you just drew.
STEP 4 under the smaller circle draw a round
one. These two can be overlapping each other.
STEP 5 draw two curved lines across the large
circle on top. These lines will guide you when
you are ready to draw the face.
STEP 6 on each side of the body draw three
different circles. They are the upper arms, lower
arms, and hands.

Note: don't be afraid to draw the part of the arm that
would eventually be hidden from view. This technique
is important because it helps you to see what the arm
is doing.
STEP 7 next draw two two long circles for each
of the legs. Then two almsot egg-like shapes for
feet.

Note: The leg and foot further away can be drawn
slightly bit smaller then the one closest to you. This
gives the illusion of perspective appearance.
STEP 8 is one of the fun steps. Drawing the face
(you don't really need to worry about her ears
usually her hair covers them). This is where the
guidelines come in handy. It helps to keep your
face center to the head.
STEP 9 draw in her hat. A smurfette's hat is a bit
smaller then a smurf's hat so the best way is to
curve the rim just over the back of the head.

Plus draw in her shoes too. Don't forget her heal.
STEP 10 start drawing her hair.
STEP 11 is important. Draw her dress. You don't
want her to run around naked do you?
STEP 12 draw in her fingers and thumb.
STEP 15 with a blue pencil color in her body.
A white one for her hat, dress, shoes, and
eyes. Then a yellow one for her hair.
STEP 17 if probably the most important of them
all. Sign the picture with your name and date.
Everyone should know who drew this smurfette
and what year you drew her in. Why a date? So
you can compare this drawing to any future ones
you may draw. You can see how much you
progress over the months/years.
STEP 13 the step you've been waiting for. Grab a
black pen (or pencil crayon) and draw over the
pencil.

Note: watch carefully that you only draw the lines you
want to be shown.
STEP 14 erase the pencil lines. Now you
have a Smurfette.

Yah!
STEP 10
STEP 10 start drawing her hair. Notice
the hair band to create a ponytail.
STEP 11
STEP 11 is to draw her dress. Don't
forget to draw in her belt and short
sleves on her top.

STEP 12 draw in her fingers and thumb.
Important note, don't forget her tail!
STEP 15 with a blue pencil color in her
body. A pink one for her hat, dress and
shoes. Then an amber one for her hair,
and a white one for her eyes.
STEP 16 is shading her for depth.
STEP 17 is to just sign and date it.
STEP 13 the step you've been waiting
for. Grab a black pen (or pencil crayon)
and draw over the pencil.
STEP 14 erase the pencil lines. Now
you have a drawing of Melody
Smurfette. Yah!
STEP 10
STEP 10 drawing her hair. Keep note
that she has curls at the ends.
STEP 11
STEP 11 is drawing her dress. Out of all the
smurfettes, Valvette's dress is a bit longer
with ruffles on the bottom of her skirt. Her
sleves are round and puffy (again with
ruffles on the bottom. And don't forget to
put a flower just sitting on the sit of her belt.

STEP 17
STEP 12 draw in her fingers and thumb.
STEP 15 with a blue pencil color in her body.
A purple one for her hat, dress and shoes.
Light ping for the ruffles, and a dark pink for
her belt. Then a brown one for her hair, and a
white one for her eyes.

Note: Valvette is the only smurfette from the
Smurfette Village that has make up on her face so
feel free to paint her face any color you chose.
STEP 13 grab a black pen (or pencil
crayon) and draw over the pencil.

Note: watch carefully that you only draw the
lines you want to be shown.
STEP 14 erase the pencil lines. Now
you have a drawing of Velvette. Yah!
or
STEP 1 is to draw lightly and create a "line of
action". In this case we will draw a 'S' curve. The
"line of action" indicates action or posture of the
character.

NOTE: when starting your sketch be sure to draw
lightly. You may need to erase your lines later.
STEP 14 is completely optional, but shading helps
bring depth to your drawing. A bit of shading on the
furthest leg (a bit darker under the dress), arms,
under the feet, not to mention a bit on the hat and
hair. Now your smurfette seems more alive.
STEP 16 is shading her for depth.
STEP 17 is to just sign and date it.
